So, what your saying, is that if I want the RecordSet to do my insert into my back end table instead of filling in "InsertCmd", I should blank out the InsertCmdDataSourceType? Otherise, if InsertCmdDataSourceType is filled in with "ADO", I need InsertCmd (with insert command) & InsertCmdDataSource (with valid ado.command object) filled in?

Sorry for all the questions, but ODBC is so straight forward. I don't need special cases for view parameters or for updating.
