Hello Everyone,

I have just installed VFP8 + SP1 for the first time. I have tried to load a form that contains a pageframe that has numerous controls on each page as well as other containers. It works just fine in VFP7. When I try to open the form from the project or MODI FORM from the command window, whilst the form is opening I get four VFP "Syntax Error" messages. Also, when I go back into design mode, I get the same four VFP "Syntax Error" messages "on the way out". It seems to occur between form load and init and I have debugged it as far as the controls in each page on the page frame as they are being activated. However, this VFP error is just not "trappable". When I am at the end of the last method in the trace window just before the error occurs, the VFP error message just pops up, appearing to ignore the fact that I am in debug mode. After the error messages, I come back into the trace window. Very odd.

I have recompiled all the files in the project. This revealed a single DOEVENT that I needed to remove the parenthesis from. Other than that, the project compiled fine. I am using a new Foxuser file too. So, I cannot say what is causing the Syntax Error and I don't know how to track it down.

If anyone has any suggestions, that would be wonderfull.

Many thanks,

Angie
