If you mean when you install your VFP application, then you can use ISX and check the resolution. If it doesn't meet certain requirements, the installation will abort. This is available in ISE Full Edition. I believe it is also available in the Limited Editio that ships with VFP.

If you just want to check them when your application runs, you can use the SysMetric() function. Passing 1 and 2 will return the Width and Height, respectively.
