has anyone experience with sourc safe and visual foxpro?

We are working in a development team with 4 developers at the same time.
If somebody checks out a class library (VCX), all classes of the VCX are locked for the other ones.

So a possible solution is to multiply my VCX, but this would be very circuitous.

Is there any possibility to "break down" the check in/out from VCX to class hierarchy ? Or does anyone know a source code system, who is better than VSS?
