One way to manage a variable number of fields is to use Excel Automation (copy the data to Excel).
Advantages: Once you know Automation, this is relatively easy, and very flexible. You can get a great output.
Disadvantages: The user has to have Excel. For large reports, it may be relatively slow.
Another, similar, option is to generate a text-file.
Advantages: No additional tools required for the end-user. Very flexible. Fast printing on dot-matrix printers.
Disadvantages: Ugly output. Not flexible (doesn't work on all printers). It is sometimes complicated to generate the output. (My download #
