Sorry to be so slow in getting this but I've used optimistic table buffering on a cursor in a database to allow users to edit a grid control and commit the changes using an edit off button which then does a tableupdate.

If two people change the same records then that's not very likely so not an issue. I thought that Foxpro would allow me to commit the buffered records only automatically by issueing the command TABLEUPDATE(1,.T.,.table_main)?

Are you saying I have to tell foxpro which updates to peform one by one by specifying the unique key value?
