The reason VFP is not a data source in InfoPath is because there are not enough customer scenarios for Office that use FoxPro DBF data, and that there is testing involved so it just doesn't get included. InfoPath had all connections opened up in alpha, then we had to scope it down to Access & SQL due to test matrix. InfoPath only supports Access and SQL as built-in providers. There are two ways to achieve accessing VFP data from InfoPath:

- Implement a simple web service for your data. We have great built-in support for WS
- Instantiate an ADO object in our script (onLaod event) create and ADO recordset with your data, extract it as XML and replace the Dom tree with it.
