Could you define in a different way what you mean by _SCREEN being defined before the class hierarchy is available?

The app I'm working on at the moment is based on old FPW code and we are finding that references to _SCREEN are necessary to enable us to work with code-based forms that are really old-style screens.

Furthermore, is it no longer safe to use ADDOBJECT() with _SCREEN to say put a label that looks like a hyperlink on the background?

Perhaps an example of BINDEVENTS would be useful.
