>Hi All,

>I have an application that automates Outlook to send email. When the outlook security patch is installed or a user is running Outlook 2002 a message appears saying something along the lines of 'an email has been created by another application' and prompts the user to accept or reject the email from being created. This is not a problem in itself, the problem is that if the user rejects the email or doesn't respond in a certain amount of time then the creation of the email timesout and causes the VFP6.0 SP5 application to crash. Has anyone worked around this problem with Outlook. I'm thinking of adding some error checking to ensure that any object references to outlook and the email still exist and if not then displaying a message to the user that the email has not been created and to try again. If I can't get around this problem then I'm thinking of moving to an SMTP solution, but I like the fact that you can present an outlook email to the user and that they can work with something

Hello,

We have a lot of clients that have moved over to our SMTP Wizard control becuase of the security patches.
I would like to point out the liability you may incur by using a product that would circumvent the Outlook Security dialog, i.e. the click yes or redemption software.

Using a SMTP control, you skip the Outlook software entirely and couldn't be held responsible for directly circumventing a piece of software's security procedures.
