Hi Craig,

>Do you run the application inside and outside the VFP IDE on the same PC?

Yes. I have have tested this on two separate notebooks. One is running Win 2000 and the other XP Pro. Have run same tests (inside VFP and outside VFP) on both machines. Originally, the XP Pro box only had VFP8 on it, with same results. Later, I installed VFP7 on it to see how compiling the app as an EXE in VFP7 worked on the XP box. The error does not occur when compiling the EXE in VFP7 on the XP box and running the EXE from outside the VFP IDE.

This one blows me away. :-)

Thanks,

Randy

I have placed WAIT WINDOW calls at various points in the code in attempt to determine if it error was occuring during instantiation of RDC or during preview process. From what I can determine, the error does not seem to occur during the instanitation of the RDC or preview control objects, but occurs later.
