I started to write you and say that I had searched ALL the code but I had only looked at code within the form itself. It turns out that the messagebox was within a losefocus event on a subclassed textbox. Boy do I feel stupid. Thanks for the input and sorry to take your time.

>This is surely caused by a MessageBox/wait window or something similar in your form or one the classes higher in the hierarchy. There is nothing in VFP that can cause your problem. Check the code, somebody forgot a messagebox somewhere, probably. :)

>>I've just started developing an application in vfp and ran across a problem I'm having a hard time solving. I'm hoping someone out there has run across this and can help. I'm using vfp 5.0a. What I've noticed is that on most, though not all, forms, when the form itself loses focus I get a messagebox that displays the form name. This occurs both when I click a control within the form or click on something external to the form. Also, after clicking on a control within the form, this never happens again. This form is not inherited from a baseclass and I've searched the code within trying to find what could be causing this, but no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
