Thanks for that Dale.

It sounds like you didn't have to do much as far as their SDK and OLE support is concerned, is that correct?

Do you just use OLE from VFP to control the thing?

Can you tell me which model? My requirements, besides PC-attach/control through application, are:
- MUST have black on clear labels available;
- MUST have mirror printing capability;
- MUST handle labels between witdhs 6mm - 28mm;
- MUST do barcodes (I see this line does)

Again, thanks, Dale

cheers

>>Here in Toronto Brother seems to have the market cornered, and I did find one that can PC-attach and does print to the simple specifications required.

>>HOWEVER, after buying it it appears that the only way to print from the PC to the device is using their own software. It looks to be nice capable software alright, but I need to print from a VFP appliction.

>>The printer has a driver and is recognized as a "Printer" by WinXP and connects by a USB cable. All that's missing is the list of (internal) control codes and their arguments/function. I've e-mailed the distributor asking if they can make them available but don't expect a reply real soon as they warn that communications through that medium likely do not get answers. I will phone them Tuesday (Monday is Thanksgiving here).

>>In the meantime, does anyone know of a similarly capable device that DOES come with the control codes described or are downlaodable?
