Yes, my application exe created on development box with SP1 runs on a deployment box without SP1 ( though in other threads people assert that is a requirement to have SP1 runtime ). At the same time it is not clear why on a development box when there are two versions of DLLs ( old in windows\system32 and new SP1 in \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP ) running exe not from IDE fails with "Resource file version mismatch"
>A 'Hello world' VFP8 RTM exe will run with the SP1 runtime, and vice versa, in my testing. If the SP1 exe contains new features, (new SET TABLEVALIDATE values, CursorAdaptor PEMs) you will of course get errors under the VFP8 RTM runtime. From a Microsoft support standpoint, mixing .exe and runtime versions is not optimal or encouraged, but should work, as it did in VFP7/VFP7 SP1.
