I'm converting an app from 2.6 to Visual and am running into all kinds of problems with bitmap files and General fields. I'm currently rewriting a form that is supposed to display a simple picture stored in a general field. When I try to set the OLEboundcontrol.ControlSource at run time I get an OLE error code "0x800401c3. There was an error in a Windows GDI call while converting the Bitmap to a DIB".

In 2.6 when I open the file and look into the general field I can't see anything but the 2.6 program seems to display the image ok.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the original images used to load into the general fields so I'm at wits end. When I check the field in the Visual 7 environment I get the same OLE error as when I attempt to load it on the form.

Any suggestions????
