I'm not familiar with a CONVERT() function - is CR thinking this is a valid VFP function? I'm assuming the SQL should be valid fox SQL. Is that true? Can someone confirm this seems to be Crystal problem?

Per Crystal tech support, this is indeed a Crystal issue and has been logged as such. Apparently Convert() is a Crystal function. Yet another workaround I was not aware of is the where clause generated by the selection expert can be edited from the Report | Selection Formulas | Record menu item. Tech support recommended replacing the Convert() function with Cdatetime() function (which can return a value of date type as it did in my case).

FYI...
