Just to stick to arguing the corner for using include files bear in mind the following:

If you add a new word/phrase to your app that requires translation you will need to redistribute the lookup table as well as the EXE. If the table is deleted or corrupted your EXE can crash (you could embed the table in the EXE but then you're back to square one - you have to recompile). Unless the user will need to switch between versions on the same install or unless you will end up with more then, say, half a dozen different 'translations' then I prefer using include files. Just my 10c - I'm sure others will have arguments in favour (or favor<g>) of using tables.
