Title:
Need some assistance with Word automation
I have routines in place that build the document, format it and open the document for the user to edit/print and exit. I now need the ability to simply use Word as a print engine with no user intervention. I can't seem to find the correct syntax to quit without saving changes after printing the document. I run into 2 problems.
1. If the Quit command is issued immediately following the print command, Word cautions that quitting now will abort the current print job. Do I need to set a timer between the 2 commands to allow enough time for the job to print?
2. When the program issues the Quit command, the user is asked if they want to save changes. I need to be able to quit Word w/o saving changes. I've recorded the quit procedure in a macro but even though I am asked to save changes, the macro doesn't record this action. In Tamar's book, it says that In Word, parameters can be passed with the Quit command to handle this but I've been unable to find these in the book.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
