Thanks Sergey. Finally figured out the problem. I've been looking at the wrong file (a corrupted one at that!) that is no longer used in the app. The programmer actually opens a different file under the alias name of the corrupted one. I've been cleaning up code as I go and guess I inadvertently removed the code that reopened the file under the alias name. Always something stupid!
