If I recall correctly, isn't that why Ronald Reagon took office right at midnight?

>Arnold promised that Pete Wilson would not be a member of his political team after the election. Too many people remember Governor Pete Wilson, who headed Arnold’s campaign. During Pete Wilson’s two terms as Governor there were 26 disasters in California. Twenty-three were attributed to Wilson directly, the remaining three to mother nature.

>What name is on the bottom of Arnold’s transition group list? I bet he thought we would not see that far!
>
>The transition group selected includes
>
>San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown
>Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina,
>George Shultz
>Simon
>Pete Wilson
>
>Others have been mentioned.

>I think Jerry Brown mayor of Oakland should have been selected also. Jerry was also governor twice. Jerry is the brother of Willie Brown and you can only tell them apart when Willie wears his famous Fedora hat. That statement is not entirely true but might get a chuckle from some. Willie never takes of the Fedora. Jerry might be a democrat but you never know what he is going to do. Jerry only agrees with Jerry.

>Arnold urged Gov. Gray Davis not to sign or veto any of the 280 bills remaining on the governor's desk during his final days in office -- although all the bills would become law by midnight Sunday without any action by Davis. Davis stated it was evident that Arnold did not understand the law. Who needs law when you are the boss?
