Hi Pablo,
be aware that "SCC Compliant" does not always mean "SCC Compliant." We've tested a number of SCC Compliant products that didn't work with VFP. VFP isn't fully SCC Compliant is the problem, according to the software engineers I've emailed with.
For distributed teams, SourceOffSite (Classic version) from SourceGear works on top of VSS. We've used it for a couple of years. There are a couple of annoying but harmless anomalies that the VFP team and SourceGear team either haven't been able to fix, or haven't sat down to fix (I gave them each other's email addresses). SourceGear also has Vault, which runs against MSSQL, which I haven't evaluated yet; but they have at least some idea of how to make SCC work with VFP, so it's probably worth a look, especially if you haven't got VSS yet (in terms of cost).
