It seems that there would have been a note in the help file warning not to use a-m for SQL aliases if that were the case though. I have never used single character aliases in normal usage and haven't use a-m for SQL statement aliases in years, but will search for any left over occurrences and change them just in case.

NO.. don't change them! It works, doesn't it, and the chances are bigger that you'll break the code in some other unsuspected ways.

This is exactly why I am so 'active' in this part of the thread. I think that it's not good practice to tell other people that something is not good practice, without giving evidence. People get frightened and will develop a habit that, in the end, is merely an obsolete habit, but who'll gonna tell so?

BTW, I agree with Mike Pratt. See his message #838396. Let's end this thread (that I started) and eventually start a new one, ok?!
