Hi John,
I got BlackAdder personal while it is still in beta, and have v.1 now, but haven't played with it.
I just found out about Spe yesterday. I've been looking at wxPython/Windows for a while, because although there are not QT distribution costs when using BlackAdder, as I explained I like the idea of the wxWindows controls being opensource (I don't see the QT toolkit, at whatever incredible price they charge, going very far).
When I looked at Boa about a year ago it didn't work very well (as in crashed); it's probably fine now. SPE adds on some nice features, it seems.
I'm just playing with Python now: there isn't the same kind of framework support I have in VFP, so it wouldn't be practical (unless a client wanted to spend about 5x as much). Still, I like the Python language a lot, and creating a framework in Python would make a nice hobby. <s>

>It took a while to SPE (on the four page of a google search) but I did. I have several questions if you don't mind. Are you programming in Python? If you are - are you finding that the environment is similar to VFP? If you are using QT libs - are avoiding windows because of the license fees for windows QT? Have you used BOA? If so - what's wrong with BOA?
