Hi

I used to attend a (social) club in my town very regularly, I'm not a member (as I was never asked) but I spoke my mind to a member the other night who then complained, this got me barred.

Upon contacting the owner (through someone I knew) he said that he would've overlooked this incident, but was told (by the bar staff) that I had been involved in similar incidents previously.

This is a complete lie and it sounds like someone's got it in for me or something. Is there anything I can do about this to clear my name, is there any law against being wrongfully accused, surely it's defloration of character or something, I don't want my name spread around as a trouble-maker when this was the only incident.

Any suggestions?
