Hey Kevin

I didn't know you where a trouble maker !

Seriously though you may be able to pursue a case for slander. I would try the small claims court as you can do that yourself no lawyer involved.

You'd have to decide how damaged your reputation was and put a price on it.I think you would have to show some loss.

Your first step would probably be to write to the club owner letting him know what you intend to do (small claims court damages etc) and giving him a chance to retract etc.

My only worry then is that they can't come up with the details, but still insist I was involved, in which case I will be shafted.

>>>The owner can't give details of these incidents because he doesn't know what they were, so my last hope is to write a letter asking the manager for details, dates etc. to see if they really are just lying, or have confused me with someone else, they don't know me that well, and they certainly couldn't have put a name to my face previously.

Is there anything I can do about this to clear my name, is there any law against being wrongfully accused, surely it's defloration of character or something, I don't want my name spread around as a trouble-maker when this was the only incident.
