>> I don't recall you at the time "clarifying" the EULA/Subsidy issue then.

That's probably because the 'Subsidy' thing did not exist until you invented it!

>Lets be very clear here - the Windows Platform is what drives the bus at MS. Take Windows away - and the company ceases to exist. So what happens? What drives the platform? Applications. But - to get more applications out there -there needs to be more boxes.

What? I guess you have totally ruled out the possibility that you can create more applications THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER !!!! There are lite and Pro versions of just about everything. Then along comes the Enterprise version. For crying out loud - how many versions of Windows are there? Is there really a need for both XP Home and XP Pro.

>And, with more Windows Licenses - there is more opportuntiy for applications. More to the point - theorhetically, the threshold of office sales can be no greater than the number of Windows licenses out there - right?

Lets all pretend that Microsoft Office on Apple is only something people have collectively dreamt about!

Hey, you know what, if Microsoft released a version of Office, Visual Studio, etc. etc. for UNIX, LINUX, AIX, and on and on, what happens to your "the threshold of office sales can be no greater than the number of Windows licenses"?
censored.
