>Thanks, Fred. This works very well. I set up two folders subordinate to my c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual FoxPro 7 called TestVFP and ProdVFP. I copied my Config.fpw, FoxUser.dbf and .fpt, and _Command.prg files to these two new directories. Then I changed my VFP70 icon on the desktop to append '\ProdVFP' to the Start In option, saved the icon, and renamed it 'VFP70 Production'. Then I copied the icon, renamed it to 'VFP70 Test' and edited the Start In option to say '\TestVFP'. Now I can have two copies of VFP open and be able to maintain two sets of command line histories.

You only have to have 2? You're lucky, I've got about 40 on my desktop, and I could use even more! I'll have to start separating them into groups and keep the group folders on my desktop soon. I find it indespensible that I can keep all my command histories separate. Glad I could help.
