A file exported as comma-delimited from an accounting system should be imported in a VFP table. However, there are 4 weird symbols in the begining and in the end of every field in the file. When I append data - it creates empty records in the table. If I open the export file in NotePad and close it, the strange characters disappear. I can fix data in the export file by going through all data and saving only digits, alpha, and some other(.,"-). It take too much time. Also, I think there should be a smarter and easy way to resolve this problem.
