Last night's meeting went very well. Beth Massi's presentation was a great topic on using VFP8 and .NET together through Web Services. I saw several people scribbling away furiously taking notes so I think it opened up a lot of people's eyes that VFP is still a player in today's world.

And now it can be told, the "mystery guest" last night was none other than YAG (Y. Alan Griver) of Microsoft! Not quite sure what his "official" title is, head of VDT (Visual Data Tools) ? , but it was truly quite a surprise to have him there!

His presentation of Europa to the group was a big hit as well. Too bad he couldn't show any of the new features of the report writer, that's under wraps until it's presented at the conference in Germany in a couple of weeks. He took back a few suggestions for some new features from the group, too. < g >
