I use Pinnacle Linx Video Input Cable to move VHS videos to hard disk.
One end of the cable plugs into the computer's USB port and the other to
the Video/audio out on the VCR. I bought it on Amazon.co.uk and newer
(more expensive) version is now available on Amazon.com. This works well for me.
