I looked at PDF995 a year or two ago. At that time, the feature to combine multiple reports in the same PDF was kind of goofy. What is did was it always wrote the report to a temp PDF file. When you had the switch off, it overwrote the file each time. When you turned the switch on, it just added to what was there. The problem is, when I turn the switch on, I want it to start combining reports AT THAT POINT, but it would include whatever was in the temp file from the previous run as well.

Also, they claimed you could change this setting programmatically, but I couldn't figure out how to do it through anything but their visual interface, and the documentation that it had didn't describe any other way to do it.
