It must be a very rare bug. I am trying to figure out how it happens and was curious if anyone has seen any pattern. Maybe together we can figure out the pattern and get the VFP team to fix the bug.

I had this problem back in VFP 6 when I was working on a form that included a complex composite class. The problem would happen if I ran the form, and it bombed out with an error, and I then tried to modify the form. Making sure I did a CANCEL and CLEAR ALL seemed to prevent the problem. In more recent versions of VFP, I've found that I get a "Cannot modify an object in use" error in these situations, which prevents the problem.
