VPM has a demo version available at www.promatrix.com. It is fully object-oriented, and has seamless operation between local and client-server operation. Although ProMatrix is coming out with a version that allows direct n-tier operation, we couldn't wait, and so Frank Camp subclassed the oAPP object, which we have since demonstrated in every way possible (.NET Winforms; ASP.NET; VooDoo controls on Web Connection; VPM application against a Web Connection web service; Flash data objects). Well, we didn't do .NET mobile forms, but the same web service would have been used.

Whether VPM or VFE or VMP or CodeMine, the idea is to use the expertise of others to build upon: no framework will do it all for you. But having a framework on which to build means you don't have to reinvent every wheel.
