Denis,

What is the name of the index? Is it possible that you have a memvar of the same name in scope at the time?

>I am puzzled why an open DBF refuses to switch its active index when I use SET ORDER TO tagname, something I use about everywhere with a normal result. I have checked that the file in question is not locked in some relation and ive rebuilt the index. If I issue "browse" in the prg to have a look,it's in the wrong order. But if I issue another "browse" straight away, the index is correctly set. Anyone got a clue..! TIA, Denis
