>I have been studying design patterns. I would like to use them in my software. The problem I have is that the examples in the several books I've read don't relate to what I am doing. It is difficult for me to choose a design pattern to do a particular task because I don't have a clear enough understanding of the implementation of the patterns. Is there a book out there or a web site that can help me see what design pattern to use in various situations?

I attended a session at OzFox that Andy Kramek presented entitled "Design Patterns in Visual Foxpro". It went through 4 commonly used patterns and had code examples etc. I'm not sure what Andy's policy is regarding his session material but you could ask him nicely and he might give you a copy :)

His email is :andykr@tightlinecomputers.com

Steven Black has some good pattern papers on his website (find a link from fox.wikis.com)
Cheers,
Jamie
