My apologies for not jumping in sooner on this...but we are getting ready to release version 1.1 of MM .NET which should address the concerns you've expressed here...especially with regard to security in Windows Forms and Web Forms applications. I couldn't agree more that the sample application needs beefing up...the next release will continue to add to its functionality including several new forms, and the implementation of user security. Some of the other major items in this release are:
* Full support for binding UI controls to data views
* A new menu extender class that allows you to add pictures to menus
* A new "mover" control in Windows Forms
* Additional Developer Guide documentation
* Lots of smaller, yet important enhancements
When we release this version we'll list all changes in our What's New Guide.
