Hi, Michel.
>First in our building we are close to 200 employe who are working using the network. I can tell that during the lunch hour foxpro is faster because the network is less busy.
>
>Second we are part of a very big company over 1000 employe and there is a department to manage the network and all the computer on that network. We have line that link us to the other building (quebec and montreal). All day long there is some task that are send with SMS to update our workstation and check lot of thing. All those task also ask time from the network.
>
>With the big task that we are launching the network is really loaded and the person who work for the department who check the network said that the fault is foxpro because it use dbf flat file that is making lot of traffic between the computer doing task and the server.
This scenario really seems like very appropiate for the soultion in the article I pointed you to. You can put all this process code in a little component that you can put in COM+ and call from your remote client. And this would reduce network traffic to 0.00001%.
This is NOT complex, as the article shows. Take a look at it.
