Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure its gonna do in a multiuser environonment though. The help file doesn't seem to mention exclusive use of the table, but, isn't it required...after all isn't this the same as modifying the structure?

>While Cetin's syntax was "off the top of his head" *s*, his suggestion was valid. Check out the Alter Table command. You can tell VFP to drop the rules temporarily from the table, do you stuff, then set it back.
