Prior to VFP 8, the basic concept is you was to run the report twice. The first time to file and get the _PAGENO system variable. You store this to a variable and use this variable as your page total. In VFP 8, the _PAGETOTAL system variable was added. It did this for you.

Cathy Pountney wrote a series of articles for FoxTalk starting in 12/2000 on the Report Writer. This tip was in there.
