John,

I just started using the framework about 6 weeks ago. For me, it's a double-edged sword, since I must learn the VFP object model AND the Mere Mortals Framework. I went to the Mere Mortals .NET class in Costa Mesa, CA in early September and that helped a lot with the object oriented topics.

The framework has a fairly steep learning curve, IMHO. First, you have to get used to designing everything around business objects, then learn how to implement those business objects into your forms. In all honesty, the framework does a LOT of the work for you, but there are many details that require attention. Half the battle is knowing what and where to look for things when you run into problems.

I've gotten tremendous help from this Univeral Thread group, both directly with answers to my posted questions and indirectly, by searching for and finding many solutions to my problems.

I can tell you that Kevin McNeish is a certified Object-oriented guru, no doubt about it. His frameworks are a reflection of his knowledge and skill set. Let me put it this way...I would not try to build a business-object-oriented application in VPF OR .NET with any other framework. This is good stuff.

Any specific questions you have, I'm sure you can post them here and you WILL get a response...I've yet to have a question go unanswered!

Hope this helps...
