I just happened to have the same user on both machines that I was playing with (in the peer-to-peer scenario .. Option 1). It looks this MUST be the case for CPWL to work peer-to-peer ... the user/password combo must exit on BOTH machines. (I'm a little disappointed to find that out.)

The docs say CreateProcessWithLogonW() is just a combination of LogonUser() and CreateProcessAsUser() and LogonUser() only allows logging on to the local machine. You just need to ensure the the user that you have logged on as has access rights to the relevant resources on the other machine.
