I was just about to update my last post when you replied ... I'm late getting ready to leave for the office, so I can reply more once I get there, but to answer your question, you would use

MyCombo.SelectedIndex

(I think that's it, don't have the syntax handy right now ... ) I'll reply more later. Post another question if you still have some. =)
