No I haven't, that would seem to require too much effort.
If you want to try another one that isn't shareware there is an excellent
FREEWARE file editor written by Alan Phillips, it's alsow designed with the programmer in mind, @ http://www.lancs.ac.uk/people/cpaap/pfe

It has some great features:
- line numbering
- multiple views of the same file
- edit multiple file concurrently
- "smart" indenting and tabbling
- moving via drag and drop not just cut & paste
- customizable key mapping
- printing support ( two pages side-byside with headers & numbering )
- find-and-replace of special characters ( tabs and linefeeds )
- customizeble with different behaviors (sql scripts, c programs, perl modules etc)
- remember last edited file
- puts you where you were when you last edited the file
- if the file is modified by another process while you're in, it will notify you and ask
if you wish to see the new copy
and more...
