Mindy,

Here is a link to a control that does what you want with javascript:

http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/combobox.asp

>Question: I have a drop-down list full of 4-digit numbers ranging from 0000 to 9999. Since there are thousands of records in this drop-down, I'm curious if there is a way for the user to type , "1200", and have the cursor sit on record "1200". Currently, if I type, "1" it goes to the first number beginning with 1, and then when I type the "2" it goes to the first number beginning with 2, rather than "12..". I don't want the user to have to scroll through a thousand records before finding the number they want to choose. Is this possible to get around in a web form or can it be done using a different control?
