Thanks for your response. My form is actually based on a form class. The base class of the form is using the "default" datasession, and the instance of that class which is my form is using a private datasession. Since there is a DoDefault() in my form.init(), would that be considered changing the datasession?

I did try using "thisform" instead of "this" and it didn't make any difference.

The oddest thing is that if I choose the "suspend" option when the error occurs, the debugger comes up and I can "step" through the code without error. If, however, I simply try to "resume" using the command window or debugger, I get the error continuously until I either "cancel" the program or click the "step" button in the debugger.

I have tried "packing" the files, recompiling everything, re-installing VFP 8.0 and SP1, all to no avail. I told you this was wierd!
