Not being certain what is meant by the grid does not "work", I presume it means that the grid displays no data.
If so, there is a probably a recordsource problem in the grid.
Try this,
Put a debug call such as SET STEP ON at the top of the Grid's Init() method and check the recordsource setting. It should not be empty. In the Watch window set a breakpoint on the recordsource property to determine if and when it changed to blank.
Let me know what happens.
