Firstly, pointers and indirection are our friends ;-)

Secondly, the C++ development team have given us IJW so that any (pretty much) code compiled as native code can also be recompiled and run as IL. As far as the developer is concerned your executable image is constructed using IJW "thunks" and magic! Joking aside, this is pretty impressive feat of engineering when all things are considered.

This is why I asked about IJW on the recent VFP team chat, to see if VFP could benifit in the short term from IJW? Sort of half-way house, VFP is a managed application so anything we run on it...
