I just printed this to distribute to every developer in the building. Good job of debugging.
Reinforces my three rules:
1) Validate on the front end so bad data does not get in.
2) Validate on the back end so bad data does not get out.
3) Write an application-independent validation process that can be executed every once in a while that:
a) Corrects or at least identifies bad data and
b) Prints a report we can use to eliminate any data problems.
