Hi Larry,
-----------
Fabio,
While not definitive, I believe this to be by design. If you're bound to an object, all code associated with that object, both direct and bound, should occur within the context of the bound object.
----------
I agree with you, but it is not documented, then VFPT can change it without
problem.
It is a choice, if VFPT not write a definitive word, how I can develop a application with a minimum of certainty?
I hope you you are agree, than a modification to this characteristic she can upset an application based on BINDEVENT.
-----------
Why would you want bound code to execute in its own context and not in its "parent" context?
-----------
In a generalized manner, in some situations one can be favorable or the
other.
I have a example
- a cache engine on a private datasession where refresh event is fired via BINDEVENT.
Fabio
