That's a great post! To HR, everyone is a ghost with a resume. You might feel like you have more control as a vendor paid through AP on a 1099. Maybe you're a closet independent contractor? The projects are short - any in house programmers (the team) are there to support you. You report directly to management. Paid when you bill. And - you learn a bunch about a bunch of different kinds of industries. Plus - they are a great referal.
Down side - market market market.
Corporate structures, where I am not the boss, are just too hard to adjust to:-)
