There are a lot of different things that could be causing it. Is the server loaded down? Several web servers will fail to server pages when they are getting hammered? Perhaps the usage is just up a bit, and accessing the VFP components then a database, is causing a time out. It could be a cache issues as well. Are you looking at the error logs at all?
Do they tell you anything?
